Growing cotton can be tough on the environment. It requires a lot of water, pesticides and fertilizer. But there is a better way…a sustainable way…to grow cotton. Retail giant Primark teamed up with Cotton Connect and SEWA, a labor organization in India, to grow more of the cotton it uses in an environmentally sound way. In so doing it is improving the lives of women. Jeanne moderated a conversation exploring the challenges and triumphs of their initiative for the International Women’s Forum.
